At LPS Behavioral Health, our staff shares a common goal: to provide respectful, compassionate, and effective mental health care for individuals and families in central Indiana. Our team includes experienced psychologists, counselors, a therapy dog, and office staff who work together to support you at every step.

  • Floyd F. Robison, P.h.D., HSPP

    Floyd F. Robison, P.h.D., HSPP

    Doctor/Owner

    Dr. Robison earned his Ph.D. in Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University in 1982. He has been a practicing psychologist and university educator for more than 30 years.

    Dr. Robison specializes in psychological assessment. He has more than 40 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of autism and ADHD, and other developmental and psychiatric disorders.

    Office Manager/CEO

    Melissa provides expert practice management and is always ready to answer questions and schedule clients for our office. Melissa treats all prospective clients with dignity and respect .She is very knowledgeable about available resources of our office and the surrounding areas. Melissa is a professional chef and enjoys gardening, running and kayaking, and cheering for her favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.

    Senior Mental Health Counselor & CEO

    Ms. Robison earned her degree in Counseling from Indiana University in 1997. She specializes in counseling older adults and adults in midlife. She also is the training director for counseling interns in our practice. Ms. Robison works as a client centered specialist in the areas of Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD disorders.

  • Regan Woodruff

    Regan Woodruff

    Counselor

    Regan Woodruff received their Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and their Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. They served in the Army National Guard and have a background in social work, having worked as a Family Case Manager for the Indianapolis Department of Child Services and then as a contracted Visit Supervisor/Home-Based Case Manager. Regan incorporates their past professional experiences into providing general therapy services while working more specifically in trauma-informed care with both adolescents and adults. Regan uses a person-centered approach to counseling and ensures that every client is in the driver’s seat of their own therapy sessions. Regan is sometimes accompanied by Duke the miniature schnauzer, who is currently in training to become a certified therapy dog and loves coming to the office to work with clients!

    Samantha Vargas, M.S., LMHCA, CSAYC 

    Counselor

    Samantha Vargas obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marion University. Samantha is currently an LMHCA and will be finishing her full license in Spring 2026. She works with people of all ages in counseling, and has a niche of working with children and teens. Samantha also has a CSAYC credential to work with sexually abusive youth, and has done numerous trainings in trauma counseling such as TF-CBT (trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy) and CPT (cognitive processing therapy). She also has worked with a number of clients to help them receive approval for hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Samantha typically starts her sessions using a client-centered approach to therapy to empower clients in the therapy room, and she is flexible to changing approaches to best fit the client’s needs such as play therapy, CBT, ACT and more. Samantha enjoys being active and spending time with her dog, Pickles, who comes to therapy sessions often for pets and attention! 

  • Thomas Harmes PMHNP

    Thomas Harmes is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 8 years of mental health experience. He completed his bachelors and masters degrees in nursing from IUPUI. He has worked in psychiatry for his entire nursing career. He has experience working throughout the lifespan, working in an inpatient acute care behavioral health hospital in the Indianapolis area as well as seeing the lifespan in an outpatient private practice in Boulder, Colorado. His practice style is integrative, holistic and person centered. He believes each individual’s treatment should be unique and centered around their desires and goals as an active participant of the treatment team. The first visit will consist of a 90 minute evaluation to discuss the current symptoms, gather history and develop a plan of care. Follow up appointments will be 30 minutes to monitor progress and maximize the efficacy and minimize the side effects of medications. In his free time Thomas enjoys playing video games, trying new foods, watching football, and spending time outside with his wife, children and 2 dogs.

  • Chelsea Dean

    Chelsea is from Marion, IN and currently resides in Avon, IN. She found her passion for behavioral and mental health when she was in high school after shadowing an ABA therapy session. Inspired and driven by experiencing that shadowing session, Chelsea officially started her career in behavioral health in 2012 and has resided in the field ever since. Being in the field for so long inspired Chelsea to further her education to get her Masters Degree in 2017 from Ball State in Applied Behavior Analysis. After obtaining her Master’s she began to train in diagnostic administration tools in 2021 and has continued this diagnostic work up until the present day, specializing in developmental testing. Dr. Dean also works as an adjunct professor for Ball State University’s ABA Master’s program.  In her spare time Chelsea enjoys reading, as well as spending time with her husband and two children Wesley and Stevie!

    Counselor

    Natalie provides expertise gathered over 10 years of experience in the mental health and social work fields to help LPS run smoothly. She helps out different departments as needed and can frequently be seen assisting in the office or helping schedule new patients. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Purdue University and is passionate about community and organization. She likes to spend her free time playing games with friends, be it frisbee in the park or a board game in her basement.

    John earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University. He works with clients of all ages, with a focus on children and teens. Using a person-centered approach, John believes it is essential to place clients at the forefront of goal-setting and treatment planning, empowering them to actively shape their own path toward growth and well-being.

  • Evan Copelly, M.S., LMHCA

    Evan uses a blend of counseling tools to help clients reach the goals that matter most to them. He enjoys helping people identify their strengths and access their natural healing ability. Evan is trained in EMDR therapy and uses additional techniques from CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy), IFS (internal family systems), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), as well as others. His hope is that clients will experience sessions as a place where they can safely explore those parts of life that are calling out for attention; a place, in the words of his teachers, not to be judged or “fixed,” but to be found. Evan has experience and training to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals with PTSD, borderline personality disorder, depression, and more. His approach to therapy affirms the right of every person to live and express themselves as they choose. Evan looks forward to hearing from you and joining alongside you on your journey!

I’m here to walk alongside you and provide steady, compassionate support as you move through your healing journey. With several years of clinical experience, I specialize in working with older adults and adults navigating trauma, daily life stressors, life transitions, and other complex challenges. I am passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and affirming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I have experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care. My approach is collaborative and individualized, integrating cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and mindfulness-based techniques to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Therapy is not about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with your resilience. Wherever you are in your journey, we can take the next step together.

    Duke

    Duke is a two year old Miniature Schnauzer who works with provider Regan Woodruff in our office as a therapy dog in training. He loves to see everyone and is very patient in session while providing head tilts and a sympathetic gaze. He is a cheeky guy who enjoys playing ball and doing his tricks but only if payment in the form of treats is involved!
